Sam is a drumming educator with years of experience behind the kit, performing a wide variety of music genres with professional live bands. Whether you're a drumming beginner and want to get to grips with your instrument, an experienced drummer looking to further your skills in a certain musical style or somewhere in-between, Sam can help you to achieve your goals.

Skills and Qualifications
Leeds Arts University BMus Popular Music Performance first class honours undergraduate degree​

DBS certified with formal teaching experience in educational institutions, as well as for group sessions and privately.

10 years experience as a live session drummer performing with wedding, function and live party bands across the UK and beyond.

Performed both nationally and internationally across the UK and Europe. Recent notable performances include Boomtown Festival, Solfest, and the Malostranská Beseda, Prague.

Well acquainted with the Trinity Rock and Pop drum syllabus and Rockschool drum grades. Better your drumming with my help whilst playing well-known songs from bands such as TOOL, Queen Of the Stone Age and Toto.

Previously tutored by active performing and recording industry professionals Jason Huxtable (Maraca2, Los Angles Philharmonic) and Dave Benmore (The Itch).

How much are lessons?
Sam's drum lessons start at £15 for half an hour, £20 for fourty-five minutes and £25 for an hour lesson. Sam offers lessons based at his home studio in Leeds LS28 for either in-person or online sessions. If you prefer lessons in your own practise space in or around Leeds, the charges above apply with an additional charge based on travel time.
